The challenges of new and emerging leaders...
You’ve done a great job building your career to this point.
But you now find yourself managing teams, budgets and projects that far exceed anything you’ve done before.
People are coming to you for answers at a time you’re still trying to find your own feet.
You worry about living up to the expectations that others have of you, all the while stressing that you’re just ‘winging it’.
It’s easy to get ‘hung up’ on what you don’t know and the last thing you want to do is for others to think you’re incompetent.
And it causes many women like you to:
Other women find themselves constantly interrupted and talked over in the meetings, causing them to either give up and stop sharing their thoughts or even begin to doubt they have anything of value to say.
Some women are even finding other people taking credit for their ideas!
Stepping into a new management or leadership role is challenging and requires new skills.
But it also requires a new mindset.
As they say ‘what got you here, won’t get you there’
Your competency and technical skills got you to where you are.
Now it's time to develop more self-confidence in your ability so you can have more impact and influence at work - without agonising or second-guessing your decisions, getting stuck in procrastination and perfectionism or burning yourself out with overwhelm, stress and anxiety.
You can’t lead others with confidence if you struggle to trust your own judgement.
I created Emergent to help new and emerging managers who feel out of their depth and are sick of procrastinating, overworking and feeling overwhelmed, stressed and anxious.
Instead, you’ll develop greater self-awareness enabling you to trust your judgement so you waste less energy, make decisions and take action faster and get more $hit done (in less time).
Self-confidence starts with self-awareness
As Brené Brown said in her book 'Dare to Lead', If you don’t know who you are, you don’t know how to lead.
So as part of Emergent, we are going to explore:
Dig deep and discover the unique wisdom and experience you bring to the table
Get clear on how you see the world, and how the world sees you
Develop the courage to act in the moments (and meetings) that matter
Build the power and strength to stand tall and speak up, even when your voice shakes.
The self-awareness that comes with this process builds your self-confidence, enabling you to draw on your strengths while helping others to do the same - without getting derailed by your doubt.
What to expect
The process of developing self-awareness to unlock self-confidence is never easy. If you are ready to change the way you see yourself (and shape the way others see you), then Emergent is for you.
Emergent is available in both a 3 month an 6 month program.
Emergent - 3 months for a short term 'fix'
Perfect if you have a short term goal or time frame in mind.
Emergent - 6 months for lasting change
Perfect if you are committed to longer lasting change.
